White Knight Fryeri is a rare-looking form of the Electric Blue Hap, known for pale white to blue-white display color and the sleek predator-hap shape of Sciaenochromis fryeri. It is best kept with similar-sized Malawi haps and sturdy peacocks in a stable, spacious aquarium.

Origin and Habitat

• Native Region: Chizumulu Island, Lake Malawi.
• Natural Habitat: Intermediate habitat.

Physical Characteristics

• Size: 7-8 inches.
• Coloration: Mature males show the strongest White Knight display color; females and juveniles are more subdued.
• Body Shape: Streamlined hap body with a laterally compressed profile.

Behavior and Temperament

• Temperament: Mildly aggressive.
• Social Behavior: Best kept with similar-sized Lake Malawi haps and robust peacocks.

Aquarium Care

• Tank Size: A 75 gallon aquarium or larger is recommended.
• Water Parameters: 74-84°F, pH 7.4-8.4, hard water.
• Tank Setup: Provide open swimming room, sand, rockwork for cover and sight breaks, and strong filtration.

Diet and Feeding
