Origin and Habitat

Native Region: Lake Malawi, lake-wide Rhamphochromis-type stock.

Natural Habitat: Shallow vegetated habitats, intermediate zones, and open swimming areas.
Physical Characteristics

Size: Up to about 10 inches.

Coloration: Males and females look similar, usually with a silver to metallic body and subtle fin/color accents as they mature.

Body Shape: Long, streamlined predator-style hap body built for speed and open-water movement.
Behavior and Temperament

Temperament: Mildly aggressive; conspecifics can be more aggressive with each other.

Social Behavior: Best with larger haps in a spacious aquarium with long swimming lanes.
