Insignigatus

Insignigatus is a Ron’s Cichlids-created Malawi hap strain from a Strigatus male crossed to an Insignis/Spilonotus Tanzania female. It is best treated as a large hybrid hap: give it space, hard water, and tank mates chosen for adult size.

Origin and Habitat

  • Native Region: Ron’s Cichlids-created hybrid strain.
  • Natural Habitat: Captive-bred strain from Lake Malawi hap stock; provide sand, open swimming room, and stable rock structure.

Physical Characteristics
