Iceberg Fryeri is Ron’s strain of standard Iceberg Fryeri, selected for a bright blue body and a white blaze from the snout toward the tail. It is a clean, high-contrast hap for peacock and hap displays with open swimming room.

Origin and Habitat

  • Native Region: Line-bred Iceberg Fryeri strain from Lake Malawi Sciaenochromis fryeri stock.
  • Natural Habitat: Intermediate habitat with rock cover and open water.

Physical Characteristics

  • Size: 6-7 inches.
  • Coloration: Bright blue body with a white blaze; the blaze can vary slightly and may bleed into the body on some fish.
  • Body Shape: Streamlined hap body with a strong Fryeri profile.

Behavior and Temperament

  • Temperament: Mildly aggressive.
  • Social Behavior: Best with peacocks and haps of similar size and temperament.
